PLAY AREA
Inside we have two rooms.
Both
rooms have furnishings that are developmentally appropriate to the
ages and number of children being served to actively engage in
recreational and
informal educational activities. Each room has windows large enough for viewing outside as well as using for emergency exit or
rescue.
The main entrance
to the childcare has parquet floor; this room measures 18 x 13 there also is a small kitchenette in here for us to use, we eat here do
art
projects here and have our quiet time
here during naps for the younger children.
You will find that all the children have a cubby in this room.
Our other room measures 24 x 14, we call this the rug room. The rug was replaced December 2005. This
is our larger of the two playrooms, most of the toys are in here, appose to having them in
the other
room. We have more toys put away than out and rotate them as needed.
This room is used for more then one purpose it is also where we take our naps.
Backyard
I
provide a variety of age appropriate play
equipment outside of sufficient quantity for children. As well as any
toys from
inside that are as a
big as a child’s hand, this giving all
children a lot of choices for outside play.
The yard is on
a slope and is fully fenced, the fence
has a latch on the inside at the top. This provides a safe and securely area preventing child access to roadways and other dangers.
There is a jungle-gym (we no long can have the swings) at the top of the sloped yard sitting on several inch’s of cedar chips. We also have a little tyke’s house off to the side. And little tyke's slides.
Front
There is a circle of trees in front of the house on this cul de sac road. There are sidewalks through out all the neighbors for us to go for walks on. I teach the children to use the side walks and not to walk or play in the street. Sometimes we might play in the front yard while we wait for a parent to arrive. Children are never alone while in the front. Sometime we do fire drills and end up out here.
TIFFANY PARK Park
This is a park Pammy's Tots has been going to ever since child care started. Parent need to know that we go here to play wherever we want, during the nice weather we are here almost everyday.
All children going to the park walk together as a group
we have stopping points on the way so the children do not go where they should not. No child/children ever goes to the park by themselves.
(all children in child care are to young to do this no matter what age).
There is a recreation
building (built 06-07). Bathrooms are outside for easy entry. If we need to use them they are check before we anyone goes in.
I take a bag of supply's with me so we have band-aids, toys, diaper, paper
pencils, and the permission slips you have sign telling you we go to the park.
There
is a tennis court fully fenced in and a basket ball court with two hoops.
